In addition, the following partnership options are available:

Electronic Fund Transfers
Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) are an excellent way to support Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County.  EFTs are convenient for the donor, with a withdrawal made from the designated account on the 25th of each month.  They provide a steady stream of income that we can rely on each month to support our goal of ending poverty housing throughout all of Kitsap County.  Either call the Development Office at (360) 479-3853 for more information or click here to set up an EFT online.

Matching Gift Programs
A matching gift from your employer could effectively double or even triple your gift.  Many corporations have matching gift programs for their current or retired employees.  To give a matching gift, contact your company’s human resources department to obtain the correct form, fill out the donor section, and include it with your gift.

Home Sponsorship
Home Sponsorship provides a unique opportunity for the donor literally to change the reality of a family.  A home sponsor commits to provide the funds for an entire home, currently $60,000.  Home sponsors will be provided with special opportunities to interact with and get to know the family that will be partnering with Habitat to buy the home.  To learn more about sponsoring a home please call Josh Dougherty, Development Manager at 360.479.3853.

Planned Giving

Charitable Bequests
A charitable bequest to Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County is a great way to make a gift toward the mission of ending substandard housing beyond your lifetime.  A bequest is a provision in one’s last will and testament where an asset or percentage of the remainder of the donor’s estate is transferred to Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County.  A bequest can also be made by adding a codicil to your existing will.  Please contact Josh Dougherty, Development Manager, at 360.479.3853 if you are interested in receiving more information.

Charitable Gift Annuities
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) through Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County is a good partnership option for retired donors on a fixed income.  When an individual signs up for a CGA they will transfer an asset to Habitat.  Habitat signs a contract to pay annual income to the donor for their lifetime. After the donor’s lifetime the remainder of the asset will be transferred to Habitat to build more homes.

Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County administers charitable gift annuities through Habitat for Humanity International.  The minimum gift amount for a CGA is $5,000.  For more information call Josh Dougherty at 360.479.3853
